UX DESIGNER // STORYTELLER // DOG DAD
Hello!
I’m Erik, a UX Designer with a passion for storytelling and teamwork. In my 15+ years in the design industry, I’ve helped a local Mpls company sell cookies baked with crickets, designed feature upgrades for white-labeled banking software and roadmapped an engagement strategy for healthcare professionals fighting the opioid epidemic.
I believe the best designs bring value to users while supporting both the user and business goals.
Curent Role
I currently work at Thomson Reuters where I lead a cross-functional team building experiences for the world’s #1 Legal Know-How Product. I collaborate across departments and teams to bring our project from the discovery phase all the way through to alpha release. Additionally, I collaborated with the design system team on the future of our design library, supported other design teams when they needed a boost and shared my expertise in multiple public speaking sessions.
Reviews
Seeing Erik run and lead workshops for [Project] shows his attention detail in planning. In these sessions, Erik manages the group feedback very effectively. He sets up and leads the sessions clearly and is able to keep everyone’s focus on a specific feature and problem. This is a difficult task to do virtually, it is a difficult task when presenting complicated ideas, Erik makes it look easy. _UX Designer
