Problem

Snow Swaps is a niche tool in a crowded marketplace with very powerful players. Facebook and craigslist have dominant market share in this arena. For Snow Swaps to be successful, it needs to be better than its competitors.

We were tasked with creating a prototype of recommend changes to this mobile website.

 The Journey

Cognitive walkthrough

After receiving the creative brief, the first thing I preformed was a cognitive walkthrough. I needed to get a firm understanding of the current status of the website.

To be successful in a crowded and competitive marketplace, Snow Swaps needed to understand and connect with their user.

Interactive Prototype

After conducing 3 remote contextual inquiries with my team, I created the following prototype.

User Goal:

Our Users are busy ski club parents,

Who are looking to buy and sell used ski/snowboard equipment .

Something as simple as changing the font can have a huge impact on usability.
